New Calling

So....I never did tell ya'll what my new calling is. I am now the Primary chorister....or as they call me the singing time lady. It is a bit stressful. I feel like I am there entertaining them for an hour. It is draining....and I need loads of ideas. So give em up....all of those fun ideas you are all holding....give them to me. I need more time and creativity if I am going to be able to pull this off and get those little ones singing these songs.

Did you get the ideas I emailed you? Plus all the blogs on singing time have great ideas. I seriously love this calling... you'll learn to love it too. I love hearing the kids sing. It's like little angels.

I have to admit when I was in primary I used to get a little teary when the kids sang. So beautiful. Aren't you into acting??? Just act your way through it. My mom used to do this when I was younger (even during vacations she would get roped in at the brach we attended). She had an apron with a lot of pockets and let the kids draw from there. Just mix it up from week to week and you will do great. I can tell you some things that went well when I was in there.

Meredith calls it the "primary cheerleader." Good luck!

I really like that calling and I have the same issue as one of your other blog commentators...I get all teary eyed and have a hard time singing! To distract the kids from talking to their neighbors, we always would say "if you can hear me clap once" and keep going if people don't pipe down...eventually it's quiet again and you can use all of your sugardoodle ideas! :)
