Sooooooooo.......
Wow. We have a long 4 years ahead of us. I am personally going to focus on preparing my family for anything. Food storage and 72 hr kits. This year will be my Food storage improvement year. I worry for our Country. I worry for our future. But mostly I worry that I won't be prepared.
These are the Last days.
I read an article that said the food storage is to protect you from yourself. It said people do the most unimaginable when they are starving....and they will do just about anything to get food when they are watching their children starve. I believe this. So I do think it very important to make sure I have enough food and heat for my family.
Mark thinks I over react when it comes to this stuff....I do.....but I would rather that I over react than not react enough. :)
It is my goal to start canning this winter and next summer. I have a great canner, thanks to my great friend Steph.
God Bless America. We are going to need it.

Last year, right after Christmas... I started going nuts about Food Storage too. I'm so grateful that I did. I never grew up with it, so I'm a "pioneer" about it. It is amazing the difference it has made in our lives. There are lots of Web Sites that help with it. Look into seeing if any of your grocery stores have double coupon day. We aren't so lucky but friends of mine in Colorado are blessed. They walk out of stores with 100's of dollars of stuff and pay only 10 to 20 dollars!
One of my good friends, says the best food storage you can have is a bottle of whiskey. That way you can barter for anything you want. Maybe she has a good idea, not that I am promoting drinking!
Hi-
I found your blog when I was googling food storage and yours came up since you mentioned it in your post.
If you ever want any tips or recipes for food storage, feel free to check out our blog! It's a step-by-step guide for beginners and non-beginners alike. All our recipes use ONLY food storage (non-perishable) food, which people seem to like.
Anyway, good luck with your food storage and feel free to email us if you have any questions!
